Unfortunately I imagine he sleeps very well. If he ever had a conscience, it seems to me that it died quite early, maybe sometime before he reached 12. So he feels as innocent as a baby.

Carolyn, either he knows he’s lying or he doesn’t know it. In either case, there is no operative conscience. Surely something happened to him and within him “so he feels as innocent as a baby.” Self-criticism seems to strike him as a needless anathema practiced only by Losers. “I didn’t mimic her! We won!”

My Doctoral training required me to consider the necessary and sufficient conditions for X to exist.
It seems to me no positive human relationships can exist absent TRUST. Every behavior TRUMP and his followers have engaged have destroyed years of trust between the people.
