The front page of today’s Champaign-Urbana News-Gazette carries a feature article on Steve Shoemaker, as in Views from the Edge with Gordon and Steve. This photo of “Welcome the Stranger” includes a note from Steve’s daughter, one in which Steve’s friends heartily concur.
Thanks, Craig. I’ll pass the note along to Steve. He was diagnosed recently with inoperable pancreatic cancer. Steve is one of seven McCormick Theological Seminary grads who call ourselves “The Dogs” – Steve is the biggest at 6’8. We gather annually for fellowship, worship, and theological reflection. There’s only one Steve Shoemaker!
