Earlier on Views from the Edge we posted “The Shadow of the Grand Inquisitor.” The good Sister is not intimidated by the Shadow.

  1. I read the article earlier. I am part of a group of faithful women who meet monthly to discuss religious/political issues, and to love and support one another. We are a bunch of peace-loving, liberal radicals. We began meeting as part of the Re-Imagining Conference in 1993, and we haven’t stopped.

Two of our members are CSJs. They are an outstanding collection of women. I am acquainted with Brigid, though I don’t know her on a personal basis.

(Did you know Rose, who ran Peace House on Franklin and 35W? I can’t think of her last name now, but she was hell on wheels, regardless of her age!)

    • Not sure if it was the same Rose. There was a Dominican sister who ran a program at a large RC Church when I was with the Legal Rights Center who would fit that description. She was the Pied Piper for the neighborhood children. Went to bed every night to the sounds of gunshots, wondering whether one of her little ones had been the victim.
      .

Your experience with Re-Imagining is encouraging and is shared by many others in the Twin Cities to this day. Thanks for sharing.
